A Blessing on the 8th Day

Jesus was blessed as an infant on his 8th day of life, and Faith received a blessing today on her 8th day as well! Our dear friends John & Jena (John is a elder/shepherd at our congregation) came over today to read God's Word to Faith, and also to offer a prayer of blessing for her. It was an unforgettable moment, and a blessing to Faith's mom & dad that words cannot express. I can NOT believe Faith is ONE WEEK OLD today! God is so FAITHful.

Faith is so sweet and beautiful. It is a blessing to have shepherds who are eager to bless us with the Word of God. We have received so many encouraging words from our elders, too. Your family is looking great!

The picture with faith in the hat is awesome. She is so tiny and perfect. Glad the Holton's were able to give the blessing. It is so great to realize that you have other Christians that will come alongside to help you raise your daughter to be a woman of God.

What a stupendous thing to do, have an 8th day blessing!!!! Symbolically, 8 is a sign for eternity, so an 8th day blessing will surely last for all time. Also it's the # of notes in an octave. Surely that has some meaning too. smile.

Hey Murray, I just responded to your e-mail, but in the past have had issues with my e-mailing getting through to fxcc.org. So, please let me know if you don't have an e-mail from me. Thanks, Bobby Ross

Faith looks like such a sweet little snuggle bug. I love the red hat!! I think she would look great in those clothes I sent for Lincoln. Ha!! Just Kidding. I did buy the same outfit for my future nephew because it was too cute. I needed a baby in my life to have it. : )

Way to go Murray (and ofcourse, your wife)! She is beautiful-I had just started to say-could I see the baby and not just the holding of her-then- she is incredible. I am studying for qualifying exams-do you suppose you could ask Kinder to say a prayer for me (SMILE!)?
God bless and keep you in his hands,
Rubye Dodson (Choices-and your mom)
